Terms and conditions
1. Booking & Payment
All course places must be booked in advance via email. A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
Places are limited due to the provision of individual equipment for each attendee.
2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Bookings may be cancelled within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided the course is not due to take place within that period.
Cancellations made more than 28 days before the course will receive a full refund minus an administration fee of £20.
Cancellations made between 14 and 28 days before the course are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the course are non-refundable.
Non-attendance on the day of the course is non-refundable.
You may send a substitute attendee in your place at no additional cost.
Transfers:
Transfers to an alternative course date or location may be offered at our discretion and are subject to availability. Due to the geographic spread of courses, a suitable alternative may not always be available.
Due to the limited number of places and the specialist equipment provided for each attendee, late cancellations are difficult to fill and therefore may not be refundable.
3. Course Changes or Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course where necessary. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Insufficient bookings
- Instructor illness
- Venue issues
- Circumstances outside our control
In such cases, you will be offered a full refund.
We are not liable for any additional costs incurred, including travel or accommodation.
4. Course Attendance & Participation
Attendees are expected to:
- Arrive on time
- Follow all instructions provided during the course
- Treat equipment and facilities with care
We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refund will be given in such circumstances.
5. Practical Training & Equipment Use
This course includes practical, hands-on use of laboratory-style equipment, including microscopes and sample preparation materials.
By attending, you acknowledge that:
- You will be working with faecal samples
- You are responsible for following all hygiene and safety instructions
- You will use equipment as instructed
All reasonable precautions are taken to ensure a safe learning environment.
6. Liability
We accept no liability for:
- Loss, damage, or injury resulting from failure to follow instructions
- Personal property brought to the course
- Indirect or consequential losses
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under UK law.
7. Course Content & Outcomes
Our courses are designed to provide practical skills and knowledge in faecal egg counting and parasite management.
However:
- Results obtained from faecal egg counts should always be interpreted within the wider context
- We cannot provide a veterinary diagnosis
Attendees are responsible for how they apply the knowledge gained.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including booklets, slides, and content, remain the property of FEC It.
They may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
9. Data Protection
Your personal data will be used solely for the purpose of course administration and communication.
We do not share your data with third parties without your consent.
10. Agreement
By booking a course, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
