Excellent informative and practical training course. Best training course I have been on for a long time, Sarah is a wealth of knowledge and makes a complicated subject clear and logical. Highly recommend plus the added bonus of ongoing support after the training.

I 100% recommend this course! A great balance of theory (with detailed support material to take home) and practical work on the day with active discussions. When you leave you feel equipped, enthusiastic and supported to start your FEC journey on farm! Thank you!

Fantastic course, informative, relevant and hands on. Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. Excellent course notes, and a starter kit available to buy. All the info you need to go out and buy a microscope and start doing your own FECs on a variety of species.

Workshops typically run from around 10:00 until 16:00 but can be tailored to suit groups. The morning usually consists of a ‘classroom’ session where we cover everything from parasite species and lifecycles to immunity and resistance. We discuss the correct use of anthelmintics and the principles behind targeted, selective treatment.

In the afternoon practical session you will discover how to make flotation solution (no need to buy any!) and how to prepare samples. You will learn how to confidently use a microscope and how to identify different parasite eggs and oocysts (Coccidia) under the microscope.

All workshop attendees receive a comprehensive booklet which contains everything taught on the day plus lots of other useful information. The booklet has plenty of room for you to take notes.

You will come away from the workshop feeling confident and keen to get started on testing your own animals!

We have a dedicated Facebook discussion group exclusively for those who have attended a FEC It workshop. Here you can download lots of extra information, post photos and ask questions in a friendly and supportive environment.

We are also available via email and Whatsapp for ongoing support.
