Workshops typically run from around 10:00 until 16:00 but can be tailored to suit groups. The morning usually consists of a ‘classroom’ session where we cover everything from parasite species and lifecycles to resistance. We discuss the correct use of anthelmintics and the principles behind targeted, selective treatment.

In the afternoon practical session you will discover how to make flotation solution (no need to buy any!) and how to prepare samples. You will learn how to confidently use a microscope and how to identify different parasite eggs and oocysts under the microscope.

All workshop attendees receive a comprehensive booklet which contains all the information taught on the day. The booklet has plenty of room for you to take notes. You will also have laminated guides for easy egg identification.

You will come away from the workshop feeling confident and keen to get started on testing your own animals!

We have a dedicated Facebook discussion group exclusively for those who have attended a FEC It workshop. Here you can post photos and ask questions in a friendly and supportive environment.

We are also available via email and Whatsapp for ongoing support.
